SAGAS SEEKS MAINE VIDEOGRAPHERS

From Rebecca Goldman, Executive Producer at SAGAS:

SAGAS is creating a system whereby individuals and groups can record loved ones, wherever they are, through a national network of independent video interviewers who will, within their local area, conduct the interviews. Within months, we will promote SAGAS nationally and begin to help customers make SAGAS video interviews, offering videographers an opportunity to develop additional income by conducting these interviews.

SAGAS was founded by David Hoffman, who you may remember from his career with Varied Directions in Maine. David is a documentary filmmaker with over 40 years of experience (visit his site, www.thehoffmancollection.com), having made over 200 films, and having won nearly every national and international award. Hoffman founded SAGAS to facilitate the creation of a national network of professional and semi professional videographers who will conduct the interviews.

When SAGAS receives an order, we will email the job description to each videographer willing to work in the area code that the interview will take place. The first person accepting the job will get the job. We are eager to sign up new members as SAGAS Videographers. Please remember that signing up with SAGAS is free and nonexclusive.

The interview technique that Hoffman has developed is simple from a technical point of view. The SAGAS interview style is informal. The camera will be placed on a tripod. No lights or assistant will be required. A single wire-connected microphone will be sufficient. We have created a variety of video and print tools, including demos conducted by Hoffman, to help SAGAS members become more skilled interviewers.

Each SAGAS interview will take one hour and the entire process including travel time should take less than three. The unedited tape is sent directly to us and we pay within three days of receipt and review. We pay $250 for the interview with an additional premium applied in certain areas. No editing will be required.

Don't forget to check out our website (located here), and let us know what else we can do to work together.

Best Regards,
Rebecca Goldman
